Automatic operation
The design of OMCS explicitly recognises the need for fast and reliable automation in effective computer operations. Whether it's output capture, job checking, report distribution or job scheduling, OMCS operates automatically.
People are more effective
Where people must become involved, when an error is found by job checking, for example, then the appropriate staff can be automatically notified. This emphasis on exception-only processing concentrates people's attention where it's needed, helping them to be more effective.
User selectivity
Online facilities let people select just the jobs or reports that they need to see. The OMCS base product has many parameters that users can set to tailor its processing and it has major functional options like IRM and JSF to answer well-defined requirements common to all datacenters.
Powerful scripting language
Finally, OMCS can be tailored and extended using the exciting ECL scripting language that comes as part of the base product.
